[Today there is a small Japanese child in oversized glasses dodging through the crowd. Somebody might want to help him out before he gets himself trampled.]

[ Okay, so helping little kids isn't exactly Iceland's speciality, and he rarely do such a thing, but today, he will have some mercy and drag Conan out of the raging crowd. Probably not in a very gentle manner, but hey, beggars can't be choosers. ]

Are you trying to get yourself killed or something? "I hate my life" and all that? But I thought that you were too young for that. [ /sarcasm ]

[Conan hangs limply from the grip on the back of his shirt and attempts to twist around enough to look up at his rescuer.]

I didn't get stuck there on purpose! Where am I?

[deadpans]

[ Well, not that rude, but something along that line. Actually, he just gripped Conan's hand and dragged him out of the crowd. He's a good hero alright. ]

That's good. That means there's still hope for your generation and the ones after you. [ Still sarcasm, but the boy's question hit him like a brick in the head. Of course, he quickly rationalise it. After all, this boy probably just plain lost. Not from another world, like him. He can't assume things. ] Somewhere in London. Why? Where's your parents, anyway?

My parents are in America and the people who take care of me are in Japan. Where I should be. [He frowns in thought as he tries to figure out how he could have arrived in London with no memory of the journey involved.]

[deadpans]

[ That cemented whatever earlier assumption he had about Conan being one of them, the unwilling immigrants from other worlds. But he still need to confirm it... ]

Well, do you remember how'd you get here in the first place? [ Crossed his arms, staring at the boy with subtle curiosity. ]
