[Traffic may be delayed today due to an accident on Westminster Bridge. A young man driving a 1930s-era car reportedly "came out of nowhere," lost control of his vehicle on the ice, and somehow veered into oncoming traffic. No one was hurt, but the driver, holding a white dog in his arms, seems a bit disoriented as he explains the situation to the police.]
I'm telling the truth, sir! I know it sounds mad, but I wasn't in London until a moment ago. And it wasn't... snowing.
... No, I have not been drinking!
[SAVE TINTIN PLEASE, HE'S SO CONFUSED.]
((ooc: leaving soon for Christmas Eve stuff but I will tag back after that!!))

[She glubs a bit, for emphasis.]

Heh, it's certainly that. [looks around briefly] All right. Don't they have the red boxes - ahh, there we are. [He homes in on a red telephone booth not too far away and skirts around Feferi to head toward it at a trot.]
no subject
Is that what you were talking about before?
no subject
Tintin looks over his shoulder as he walk/runs.] Yes. In London they've begun putting public telephones in red boxes. Not to say anything of the aesthetics, but at least it's visible. [Opens the door and slips in...]

In case it has not been made abundantly clear already the dog does not particularly care for her.Meanwhile, Tintin has encountered a problem with the phone. Okay, problem(s) plural. First is that apparently the phone uses buttons instead of a dial? Second is that all he has in his pockets is Belgian money, OOPS. He comes back out of the booth within a minute or two, looking a bit miffed.]
Well, forget that. We'll have to find someone kind enough to let us use theirs. [Shaking his head, and mostly talking to Snowy at this point-] Sixty pence it wanted! That's francly ridiculous.
no subject
Is that a lot? It doesn't sound like much.
[Given how much things in SGRUB cost.]

[He heads off toward a nearby Tesco Express. Snowy tries to follow, but Tintin stops him.] No. Snowy, stay with her, I'll just be a moment. Don't let anyone give her any trouble, all right?
[So he goes inside, and Snowy'll trot reluctantly back to Feferi and sit down nearby. God, the things he does to be a good dog.]

You're Snowy, right? Hi.

(Unless she has food or something.)]

You're a little grumpy gills, aren't you?
[She seems amused, though, and grabs a hotdog from someone walking by to offer it to him.
What, they should have guarded it better if they didn't want it taken from them.]

The Dog Social Link has reached level 1! You can now create Personas of the Dog arcana!About this time, Tintin comes back out of the store, brow furrowed and murmuring to himself. Under his arm is a newspaper. He unfolds it as he's approaching, and as he comes back...]
Great snakes! But - that's impossible!
no subject
What's impossibubble?

[He leans over and shows her the newspaper, pointing to the date.] Two thousand eleven! And what's more, it's Christmas Eve... Have we actually... traveled through time?
no subject
[Time shenanigans are just another day for her.]
no subject
Transplanted two hundred miles and three-quarters of a century... and then there's you, it can't be a coincidence. You said you were dreaming??

[Smile.]

It's not as bad as it sounds.

So you're a space alien, it's the future, you're dead and I might be, too... [He throws up his hands briefly and lets them fall to his sides.] Anything other surprises you'd like to spring on me? You know, before I lose my mind completely.

[HELPFUL?]

Crumbs... Well, nothing to be done about it now, I suppose. Best if we get in from the cold, at any rate. You must be freezing, unless aliens from another universe are immune to cold.

Alternia? Your planet? Come on, Snowy.
no subject
Yeah! Trolls are nocturnal, because the sun's too hot usually.
